No amount of polishing can put color back into a groove where the color layer has been carved out. Anyone who buffs a true key scratch is thinning the surrounding clear coat for nothing.

The correct repair rebuilds the layers. The scratch is feather sanded so the edges taper smoothly, primer fills and seals any deep sections, basecoat mixed to your factory color code restores the color, and fresh clear coat brings back the gloss and UV protection. The new paint is blended into the surrounding area so light moves across the panel without revealing a repair line.
